Sand Creek Greenway Segment 3
At Bluff Lake Nature Center, the Sand Creek Regional Greenway technically follows alongside Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd. But with ongoing construction, you may want to walk through Bluff Lake Nature Center’s property, instead, picking up the trail at the north end of the Nature Center as it enters Stapleton’s (now called Central park) Central Park. You’ll continue along the creek where the old Stapleton runways used to be, and then under Central Park Blvd and Quebec on your way to the Denver trail head.
Note: In the summer of 2020, the Stapleton residents renamed their neighborhood Central Park.
Start: Bluff Lake Nature Center, 3400 Havana Way, Denver
End: UPS Wetland Park Trail Head, 6198 E 52nd Ave, Commerce City
Length: 4.26 miles
